Too Busy to be Frugal . . . ?
A quick one to consider . . .
Here's an excuse I have heard, "I'm too busy to be frugal-- it takes too much time." I have heard people say they didn't have the time to do things that were frugal-- that could save them some money.
The thing is frugal living does take some time, but the benefits are more than just dollars saved-- it is quality of life and peace of mind that is usually improved as well. However, let's get back to those folks with little time to be frugal . . .
The people who don't have time to be frugal are usually the ones working like dogs to make the money to pay for their non-frugal ways. The Catch-22 is that if they were more frugal they would have more time, because they would need more money.
These folks:
- Overpay for most everything in their lives
- Are tired from overwork
- Don't know how to do many simply tasks
- Are susceptible to being snookered by unsavory professionals
- Live and die by a job and suffer the most from job loss
I have found that frugality usually makes one more conscious of time management and more organized.
Are you too busy to be frugal?
