Blog Review: The Zeiger Family Homestead
As I mentioned on a similar post the other day, if you read my site on a regular basis, you know I believe in being prepared-- even for short trips into the woods (A Short Hike Into the Woods). I am a big believer in self-reliance and self sufficiency (Big Snow Today . . . Were You Prepared? A Preparedness Recap).
The Zeiger Family Homestead is an interesting site particularly if you are into homesteading and Alaska. It is authored by Mark Zeiger and his family and it chronicles their experiences-- I especially like the photos and I am jealous of the nice fish Mark reels in. Some posts and sections of interest include:
- Homesteading Through the Seasons A nice photo gallery of life in remote Alaska
- Happy Camouflage, Everybody! Mark, I get the camo duct tape-- it is the camo steering wheel covers I don't get . . .
- An “Old Fashioned” Cup of Coffee
If you are into self reliance and self sufficiency I recommend it. This is site has many more interesting posts and is a nice resource. I am adding this site to my BlogRoll.
