Take Time to Remember . . .

Sorry, but there will be no posts today.

Instead, please take a few moments to remember those who perished on September 11, 2001.

Quite frankly, this is a day that really upsets me.  I personally knew people (office workers and first responder) who went into the World Trade Center that morning and never came out.  Many of my extended family members fled the complex that day and witnessed some of the resulting carnage first hand.

I was at lunch while working in downtown New York the first time the savages struck-- I literally felt the ground shake even blocks away.  The second time, I was in my office in a city with a view of lower Manhattan about 30 miles away and I literally saw the towers collapse with my naked eyes.

I knew the World Trade Center complex very well.  I spent quite a bit of time there over the years on business, pleasure, and commuting.  Personally, I have never visited the site since the disaster, despite many trips into Manhattan since it happened.  Honestly, I don't want to visit the site . . .

Let's remember these people everyday, not just today.

A lack of clear communication on my part, but no typo.

The first time the cowardly savages struck was actually at lunch time back in late February 1993 it was snowing lightly that day . . . I was crossing City Hall Park at the moment the literally ground shook.

The second attack (9/11) came years later when I no longer worked in downtown NY, but in a city where I had a full view (albeit distant) from my office window.
