What if the Grocery Store Was Bare?
What if you went into town to the grocery store and the shelves were bare? Most grocery stores have about 3-6 days worth of inventory-- what would you do if they weren't there?
I have touched on this topic before . . . Why Do We Only Prepare or Act After a Problem or Disaster?
I am not talking about "The End of the World as We Know it" (EOTWAWKI), but I am talking about a serious disruption. Hogwash, you say? What kind of disruption?
- Terrorist attacks
- Natural disasters (Are You Prepared For a Natural Disaster?)
- Medical emergencies
- Strikes, boycotts, or embargoes
- Rationing or restrictions
I think you get the idea . . .
So, what would you do?
- Raid the frig
- Raid the freezer (Our Frozen Assets)
- Raid the pantry
Then what?
- Do you have a garden?
- Do you fish?
- Do you hunt?
- Do you have canned goods?
- DO you have long term stores and provisions?
Have you even considered the possibility? Do you have a plan (Website Review: FEMA Planning and Preparedness)? Perhaps you should start thinking about self reliance and self sufficiency-- even in a small way.
