Be Frugal in Your Words
I sometimes get stuck in long, pointless meetings with people who drone on incessantly. I can't help thinking if they could only learn to be frugal in their words . . .
Let's face it, we all have so many hours in a day-- we don't have time for people who like to hear themselves talk, here are some tips so you don't come off as "that guy":
- Have an agenda and stick to it
- Please, please be brief
- Be concise and to the point
- Avoid $5 & $10 words
- Go with common language and simple ideas
- Seek to be understood
Do these things and people will be impressed . . . I promise. With that-- I am done!
