What is Your Threshold for Pain and Suffering?

Ever thought about how much you can take?  Life is never easy, but there are times it is downright cruel.  Furthermore, sometimes people go out of their way to make your life even harder.

How much can you take:

  • Mentally and emotionally-- How much can you endure?  This is often the hardest and most tiring
  • Physically-- How far can you push yourself?  How far can others push you?
  • Financially-- How many setbacks can you deal with?  Sometimes these setbacks come in groups

My wife and I have often gone through periods where we will ask each other-- "Now what?"  We have found that things do come in threes.  These things can and will be worked out, but the pain, suffering, and aggravation in the moment is sometimes unbearable.

How do we deal these situations?

  • Communication
  • Planning both against and around situations
  • Working on solutions

It has often been said that whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger . . . we are pretty strong in this house.

What do you think?
