A Frugal Education

Most people think education is expensive and formal education usually is expensive.  However, there a great deal of education that is free for the taking-- a frugal education if you will.  So a frugal education is yours if you are willing to go and get it . . .

I am sure many of you know people without formal educations that were pretty sharp and self-educated.  Where did they acquire these educations?

  • Newpapers and magazines
  • Books
  • Libraries
  • Radio and TV
  • Other people
  • Tinkering
  • Doing (One of the best ways to learn)

My late grandmother read books, newpapers, and did crossword puzzles-- not bad for a fourth grade education.  She would have an even easier time today with the internet . . . knowledge, information, and education have never been so available.

The point is education isn't always college and expensive-- sometimes it is desire and resourcefulness.

How do you learn?
