I just have to comment on your question #1. I know it's hard to believe, but the last jeans I bought cost me about 20 cents a piece - for Levis. At a garage sale last year I spotted two roughneck totes filled with lightly used jeans and two brand new never worn pairs.
There were 36 pairs of jeans, my size, and I paid $7 for them all. The purchase included the two totes as well.
Are we talking frugal or what? I was able to share with my neighbor and still have a lifetime supply of Levi jeans.
