With this post, I will look at potential employees.  Here are the specific questions I would start with:

  1. What is your work ethic?
  2. How do you learn?
  3. Can you work alone?
  4. Can you work in a team?
  5. How do you handle problems?
  6. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  7. What is your greatest success?
  8. What is your greatest failure?
  9. What do you expect?
  10. Can you provide me with references?

    I always ask about goals. I want to know where they're headed, or at least whether they think ahead enough to know where they're headed. I won't hire a technical or management type unless they have at least a reasonable idea of where they are going.

    Think of it this way, if they don't have vision, then I just can't see hiring them
