With this post, I will look at salespeople.  Here are the specific questions I would start with:

  1. Do you use it or own it?
  2. Is it warrantied?
  3. Is it guaranteed?
  4. Who services it?
  5. Are there upgrades or options available?
  6. Are there discounts available?
  7. When does it go on sale?
  8. Are there any other items needed?
  9. Who else has bought it?
  10. Can you provide references?

Not happy with an answer-- ask again.   Still not happy?  Don't buy from them!
