My DIY Projects and Savings
I thought I would review some of my DIY projects and their respective savings from the past year. Here they are:
- Preparing my own firewood $550 on chords of wood and $500-800 on offset home heating oil (The Four Key Ways We Save on Heating Bills)
- Chimney sweeps (three times) $450 (
As you can see, just from the ones I can remember, we saved a few thousand dollars for a few hours of effort on my part (What to Do if You Are Short Cash, But Long Time and Effort . . .)-- don't forget that these are after-tax dollars saved (How to Legally Beat Taxes . . .).
