Disappointing fishing, but gratifying quality time with the boys.   The boys and I were up at 5:00 AM, traveled and breakfasted by 6:15 AM, out there by 7:00 AM, my first fish caught by 7:30 AM and second fish caught and released at my feet by 7:35 AM (he smiled at me and spit the lure back at me), and that was it for the day.  No bites, no nibbles, no nothing . . .

Normally, we all limit  out by nine in the morning.  My son has won a local biggest fish contest two years running and placed third three years ago.  Not this year.  I was extremely disappointed, but the boys took it in stride and we had a great day getting out and away from the girls for a while . . .

The funny thing is I didn't see anyone catching fish today save a group of three with three fish on a stringer-- my conclusion was it might have been too hot today . . . Hopefully, others had better luck than we did today.

Tomorrow night's dinner became tonight's dinner.  There is always tomorrow . . . we will try again.
