Words of Wisdom: Henry David Thoreau on Emotions

Henry David Thoreau was an American author, poet, naturalist, and philosopher.  Here are some of his thoughts on emotions:

  • The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation
  • Man is the artificer of his own happiness
  • To regret deeply is to live afresh
  • There is no remedy for love but to love more
