More Garden Prep Today
Vegetable gardening is my favorite frugal, DIY project--it is a fun money saver. Yesterday, I broadcast some fertilizer in my planting areas to finish the prep on my in-ground garden.
I am on my own today, so I will be working on the container garden. My daughter and I had planned on this last week, but we ran out of time and energy.
Today, I am expanding the fenced in area-- I am doubling it (I had planned only 33%, but have enough fencing for more). I will be mixing my soil, filling the containers, and covering them with plastic. Finally, I will do some planting in my milk jug mini-greenhouses (cut jug in half, poke holes in the bottom, soil, soak, seed, and bag-- I will post some reference links on this later).
Next week, is final prep-- the tying off of loose ends. I will probably start more seeds as well.
