Words of Wisdom: Dale Carnegie On Persistence
Dale Carnegie was a writer and speaker on topics that included self improvement, positive attitude, public speaking, among other things. As I have mentioned in some comments lately, I am pushing myself to make changes and improvements in my life. To help, I have been seeking more words of inspiration and motivation. That's why you will see more Words of Wisdom posts in the near future, because I am sure I am not alone in looking to be inspired. Below are some of my favorite thoughts Dale Carnegie shared on persistence-- one of my favorite character traits:
- Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.
- One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.
- Today is life-the only life you are sure of. Make the most of today. Get interested in something. Shake yourself awake. Develop a hobby. Let the winds of enthusiasm sweep through you. Live today with gusto.
- We all have possibilities we don't know about. We can do things we don't even dream we can do.
