Work Smarter, Not Harder
I am all for working hard, but working smart makes more sense. Here are some simple, but quick ways to get more "bang for your buck" from your efforts:
- Use technology-- There is quite a bit of labor saving software out there (Financial, contact management, etc.)
- Delegate-- Choose meaningful tasks, then delegate the rest (Stuffing, sealing, and stamping envelopes is a job for the kids)
- Cooperate-- Share tasks (Two people can get it done in half the time)
- Focus on high payoff activities-- Some things make more of an impact (The 80/20 Rule)
- Automate or create systems and procedures-- Have a way to do everything (Why reinvent the wheel every time?)
- Prioritize-- Do first things first (Yes, easier said then done-- but it works)
I hope these approaches help you as they do me.

I have been separated for the last year and a half and have learned to live at a very different level. I can no longer pay for convenience so I have to work harder to get things done.

Welcome, and I feel your pain. The good news is that it gets better . . .
