News Flash: Taxes Are Going Up

Taxes are now certain to go up.
If you didn't believe it before, you had better believe it now.

I read this morning that our President Elect likens himself to FDR, planning public works projects and jobs programs (Before the angry emails, for the record, I didn't care much for the other candidate either).  The thing is we are in a recession, not a depression, but we are all going to pay the price . . . who do you thing is going to pay for these programs?  It is not just going to be Joe the Plumber!  Never mind the banking and auto bailouts.

It is time to help yourself . . . I will be putting Parts III and IV of my series of posts, Time to Find Tax Breaks (Part I) and Time to Find Tax Breaks (Part II), up later this week.

Side note: My candidate for President has not arrived on the scene yet.  He or she will be the candidate that says, "Listen people, we have too much waste in this country-- I am going to cut 10% of the Federal Budget across the board.  Then, I am going to do it again-- another 10%.  After we have eliminated that fat from our budget and reprioritized federal spending to be more effective, I am going to give the extra money back to the people who earned it and that it really belongs to-- the US taxpayer!"  Until then, I will take every legal tax break available to me.

We'll all be waiting a long long time for your ideal candidate. Americans love lies - the bigger the lie, the more we desperately want to believe it.

We're also convinced that one person can change our world for the better. We love the way that one person makes us feel, and like the song says: "...hope we don't get fooled again."

Our only hope is and has always been ourselves. Count on yourself, and no one will let you down. At least you'll have no one to blame but yourself.

I don't know whether it was "bad" or "worse" who won the election, but both were running for the office. These were the best the demopublicans could offer. We get what we deserve.

And, that brings me to my final point. We deserve tax breaks at every opportunity - regardless of who occupies the White House. Looking forward to your suggestions.
