Every Notice That Some Foods Taste Better as Leftovers?
Maybe you have noticed it too-- some foods taste better the next day. It seems to have to do with ingredients blending more. Garlic and onion based dishes especially. I find marinading (See my post, Marinade and Seasoning Ideas) is best the day before too.
Think about these dishes and see if you agree:
- Potato salad
- Italian gravy (See my post, Homemade Italian Gravy)
- Soups
- Chili (See my post, Quick Lunch/Dinner Idea: Homemade Chili in the Slow Cooker)
Chicken/Turkey/Egg salad (See my post, The Lowly Hard Boiled Egg is Sorely Misunderstood) - Almost any multi-ingredient dish
The good thing here is that leftovers don't go to waste and are actually desired . . .
