Don't get even, get ahead.  While I try to be positive as much as I can, today I was thinking of those who wish to see me fail and suffer.  It seems in life that there is always someone who wants to see you down-- a former friend, an ex, a coworker, a family member, a neighbor-- the list goes on. 

There many reasons jealousy, envy, malice, spite-- you name it, there is always some silly reason.  I long ago gave up caring what other people think and say, but there are days like today when I am reminded of these people and I reaffirm my belief that the best revenge I can get against these people is to succeed massively.  It will really irk them and at the same time I just get to enjoy my life.

Every day I strive to be a better father, spouse, professional, etc.  I feel as though I am succeeding and that is all that really matters, but I take comfort in knowing that my success (personal, professional, and financial) drives certain people crazy.
