I Hate to Carry Things
I hate to carry things, so I minimize as best I can and I prefer to carry and use small, light-weight, and compact things.
I like a small flip style cell phone. I never liked wearing it on my belt. I didn't want people to know I had it and like it in my shirt or pants front pocket.
I like small, credit card only size wallets. I got away from this and will do a post on my bulging fat wallet (unfortunately not fat with cash). I am going back to the minimalist wallet soon.
I always carry a pen and prefer nice, streamlined pens that I can get refills easily. I will do a post of my favorites soon.
I also carry a small notebook to record notes.
I used to use a money clip-- too heavy and bulky-- now I just neatly fold the bills and carry them in my front pocket. I dump change at every chance I get-- my dresser or my car.
I try to carry as few keys as possible and don't use a big keychain-- I don't want to look like the night watchman or the school janitor (no offense to either-- it's their job to have those keys.) I do carry a small Swiss Army multi-function pen knife on my keychain when I am not going to Divorce Court or the airport.
I like notepad portfolios with a business card holder and only the appropriate file and forms-- just what you need and nothing more!
I carry one or two flash drives with my files on them-- they can fit on a keychain.
I sometimes carry a mini umbrella.
I like jackets, suits, pants, and shorts with lots of pockets-- I like being hands free.
I always try to minimize or get the most light-weight and compact items as possible--
I like clip-on and pocket-sized items.
I REALLY hate to carry things . . .
Minimize and simplify . . . don't be a pack mule!
