The Real Grocery Shopping Secret
Go Orange! No not Syracuse-- unit pricing! The true secret to successful grocery shopping is looking at the unit pricing in the orange box on the price sticker. Sometimes the economy size is more expensive than a smaller size. Coupons and other savings are the cherries on top of proper shopping. Furthermore, if you see a really good deal on non-perishables—stock up.
BTW--If the item is on sale check the sales sticker's unit price. I once found peanut butter at regular price was actually cheaper than a different size of the same product on sale-- go figure!
Remember Go Orange! So you can compare products apples to apples and oranges to oranges!
